The newly established Friends of Christ the Saviour, Ealing Broadway are pleased to announce the progamme of events for our Festival Launch Weekend, 21st - 23rd November, to coincide with our Patronal Festival, the Feast of Christ the King.

There is a free reception and musical programme on the Friday evening; a day of family events, theatrical and musical performances on the Saturday; and a day of Christian worship and festival lunch on the Sunday.

All are welcome to each and every event. Tickets for ticketed events are available via Eventbrite (see www.christthesaviour.com) or at the door.

The Friends of Christ the Saviour exists to support the fabric and building of Christ the Saviour Parish Church and Clergy House. All are welcome to join the Friends. Membership details below.

Friday 21st November

* 6.30 - 9.30PM: Launch Reception with a free sparkling drink and canapes, musical entertainment and bar - Parish Hall

* 8-9.15PM: An Evening of Music including performances by musicians from the Guildhall School of Music. Free entrance -Parish Church

Saturday 22nd November

* 11AM - 4PM: Family Activities including cage football, bouncy castle, food and refreshments -Parish Churchyard
* 2 - 3PM: Monster Cat Theatre: a workshop for children aged 5-11. A small fee will be charged and numbers are limited. Email: monstercattheatre@gmail.com to reserve a space for your child -Parish Hall
* 6PM & 6.45PM: 101 Theatre: 'Betrayal'. Two performances by the award-winning oneohone theatre company (oneohone.org). £8 [Friends: £4] - Parish Church
* 6.30PM - 9PM: Pizza Oven with bar - Parish Hall
* 8.00PM – 9PM: Oxbridge Opera Company – An Evening of Light Entertainment. An evening of song including favourites such as Gilbert and Sullivan. £8 [Friends: £4] – Parish Church


Sunday 23rd November - the Feast of Christ the King

* 10.30AM: Patronal Festival High Mass with Sunday School - Parish Church
* 12.30 - 2.30PM: Lunch with bar (food provided by Bless Community Church - blesscc.org) - The Clergy House, The Grove.
* Throughout Lunch: Clergy House Tours - The Clergy House, The Grove.
* 2PM - Free Concert with Margaret Morrell (soprano) - The Clergy House, The Grove.
* 5.30PM - School Mass & Procession for the Feast of Christ the King - Parish Church

Events are open to all, with Friends receiving discounts on ticketed events.

Friends membership is available for £25 a year (£40 for couples) or £250 for life.

Friends gain access to a wide-programme of monthly cultural and social events, and the 2015 programme will be published shortly including a talk (Jan 16, 7.30PM – Parish Hall) and tour (Mar 11, 10.30AM – S. Paul’s Underground Stn) of London’s City Churches by Spencer Williams, and a Ceilidh (Feb 14 – 7pm – 10pm – Parish Hall), amongst others.
