Robbers who snatched a cash box from outside Sainsbury's on Boston Road in W7 made a dangerous getaway in a white transit van.

Police say they were called on Tuesday, 25 November, at 10:35hrs, to reports of a cash-in-transit robbery.

A security guard who was walking towards the store with a cash box was approached by two men in balaclavas running at him and shouting to give them the money.

The guard received scratches to his left arm as the cash box was snatched and the two men ran off south along Boston Road.

They then ran into Cawdor Crescent and got into a white transit van.

The van drove along Clitherow Avenue, Hazlemere Avenue, Raymond Avenue, Mayfield Avenue and into Northcroft Road. It was spotted a short time later overtaking cars on the wrong side of Northfields Avenue and turning right into Mattock Lane which was the last sighting of the vehicle.

Suspect1 is described as white, around 35 years old, approximately 6ft tall, stocky in build, wearing a black balaclava, grey jumper and black trousers.   Suspect2 is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, medium in build, wearing a black balaclava and dark clothing.   No arrests at this stage.
