Ealing Broadway's to host its fifth annual Buskathon raising money for local charities.

Hosted in conjunction with west London festival group, the Hanwell Hootie, the family-fun event will feature back-to-back live music performers from 3pm to 7pm on Friday 7th June, 12noon – 7pm on Saturday 8th June and 12noon – 5pm on Sunday 9th.

Located in the Centre's Town Square, spectators, fans and shoppers will be able to show their appreciation for the talented musicians by donating their spare change to charity.

With over 20 acts performing, Ealing Broadway will be filled with the sound of choirs and musicians such as The Ealing Soup Kitchen and the Love2Sing choir.

Having raised £1,450 for charity last year, Ealing Broadway and the Hanwell Hootie are hoping to raise £2000 this year for three local charities, The Log Cabin, Ealing Soup Kitchen and Ealing Mencap, all of which Ealing Broadway has supported over recent years.

Andrew Rollings, centre director at Ealing Broadway, said: 'The annual Buskathon is one of my favourite times of year at Ealing Broadway, and is always a real show of community spirit from performers and shoppers alike. We're always on the look out for more local talent to join us, so any one wants to perform please get in touch.'

June Martin, director at Hanwell Hootie, said: 'The Buskathon is always so much fun, but it's important to remember why we do this: every small contribution makes a real difference to the lives of local people. We hope to see an even bigger turnout this year as we celebrate our fifth anniversary of the event.'
