Ealing Businesswoman Makes Industry Award Finals

Felicity Sandford could win Mpower Woman of the Year

A business owner and mum, who set up the popular community Facebook group, Hanwell Friends in 2012, has earned herself a place in the final line-up of The Mpower National Business Awards.

Felicity Sandford, who was previously owner of the London branch of Buttons Nanny Agency, set up Amazing Futures Ltd an outsourced marketing support service for children’s products and services. In October 2017 she teamed up with another successful Ealing business woman, Amanda Frolich of Amanda’s Action Club. Together they founded LEAP Networking, an online and offline networking community for children’s leisure and educational activity providers.

Felicity, who is mother two an eight-year-old daughter and a six year old son, set up the agency after realizing that many small businesses in the children’s activity sector lack the time or knowledge to market their business effectively and were spending a lot of money using the wrong marketing channels for them.

As well as being a finalist for Community category in the U.K. wide business award, she's also in with a chance of winning the title of Mpower Woman of The Year 2018, which will be awarded to a business mum who is an inspiration to all women in business in the U.K.

She says: It is a huge honour to have my start-up business recognised by being nominated for a national business award in the first year of operating. I am passionate about working in this industry and helping small businesses in the often overlooked child and family sector to grow their businesses and it is both humbling and wonderful to have been recognised for my early achievements.”

The winners will be announced at The Mpower Gala, being held at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury in London on Saturday 23rd June.
