The entire second floor of an end of terrace house near the junction of Hatfield Road and Grovesnor Road which was under construction has collapsed, injuring at least two people.

Fire Brigade station manager Chris Frewin at the scene said, ''The Urban Search and Rescue Team have rescued a man who was trapped, Another man is being treated for minor injuries.''

The Brigade’s Urban Search And Rescue Teams are like those which recently travelled to Nepal to help with the aftermath of the earthquake in that country

Engines from Southall and Ealing are present and rescue units from Battersea and Croydon having been called at just after 3pm.

An air ambulance is believed to have landed nearby.

Ealing Council are advising motorists to avoid the Hatfield Road area until further notice.
