In the Ealing area Ealing Broadway produced the highest number of people who wanted to stay in the EU: 74% voted Remain and 26% voted Leave. Southfield ward had the highest vote in the borough with 76% wanting to stay in the EU For those who wanted to leave the EU, the wards of North Greenford (49% - 51%) Northolt ( 47% - 53%) and Northolt West End ( 47% - 53%) all voted Leave. Southall Green, Northolt Mandeville and Southall Broadway chose to Remain but with very slim majority - 51% - 49%. In Greenford Broadway the result was so close that rounded up it was 50/50 with just 57 votes difference. Council Leader, Julian Bell tweeted the local results saying: ''Ealing is the 3rd most diverse Borough in the country, at ease with ourselves and we voted overwhelmingly to Remain.''
