I make no apologies for the next few pages of images from this years fantastic Ealing Blues Festival.

Local photographers, Liz Jenner and Roger Green have captured the colours, energy and overall vibe just perfectly.

I was fortunate to visit on both days and what an absolute treat it was. It's hard to choose highlights as there was so much on offer and my only grievance was I couldn't be at two/three stages at the same time and see everything.

Here are just a few of the amazing performers from the first day; Saturday 20 July.

Winnie & The Rockettes knocked 'em dead at this years Hanwell Hootie and returned to Ealing to give another top performance.

And festival regulars - the ever popular MACK featuring Tommy Hare never fail to please with their country/blues/rock set.

The day opened with more local favourites Geoff Garbow Band with guest appearance from Terry Marshall -  Marshall and his father Jim co-founded the famous amplification company known all over the world.

Apart from the tried and trusted faves, one of the many great things about this festival is there are always new bands to discover.

Even better when it's home grown local talent and the superstars could be your neighbours!

Amongst the early crowd thoroughly enjoying opening band 'Near Death Experience' at the South Stage was Ealing Central and Acton MP and live music supporter, Rupa Huq.

Can you help get Ealing's music scene recognised and, specifically the Ealing Film ' Suburban Steps to Rockland' to a wider audience?

A crowdfunding campaign is underway and there's a huge array of perks of offer including an original art print by local boy, Pete Townshend, a visit to the Marshall Amp Factory with Terry Marshall and a rock holiday in Ealing! Find out more here.

Meanwhile, Ealing Summer Festivals continue next weekend with Ealing Jazz Festival 27/28 July Walpole Park.

(More great Blues festival images to follow.)
