A former ballerina from Hanwell has brought the beauty of the ballet to an Ealing cafe.

Liz Jenner trained at the Royal Ballet school and joined the London Festival Ballet (later renamed The English National Ballet) in 1988 under the directorship of Peter Schaufuss.

She started to take photos with a Nikon F801 when she realised dancers spent a lot of time waiting in the wings or during rehearsals. The images were sold to newspapers, used in programs and many given away to the dancers.

Now Liz has brought together some of her collection and put the works on display at the Cinnamon cafe in Pitshanger.

Liz says: '' My favourite shot is of three beautiful ballerinas watching a performance from the wings but my most memorable one is of an eighteen year old Carlos Acosta who had just joined the company.I knew from the first moment i saw him that he was special and was going to have a dazzling career ahead of him.
''I love the mood, atmosphere and contrast that you can create with black and white photography and i think a good photograph must stand out as being authentic and unique.''
