A 21-year-old man has been banned from parts of Southall for five years because of his anti-social behaviour.

Ealing's Anti-Social Behaviour Team secured an ASBO against Mohammed Shakeel, 21, from Hunt Road, Southall to run for five years until 15 January 2020.

Evidence put before the court showed that Shakeel had exhibited continual anti-social and criminal behaviour around Southall over the previous five years.

The conditions state that he is prohibited from:

1. Entering an area of Southall bordered by the Paddington main line railway, Grand Union Canal and Merrick Road - (see attached map).

2. Entering any bookmakers, arcade or other gaming establishment within Greater London

3. Being in possession of any mobile phone or SIM card except one only registered in his own name

PC Sarah Percival-Rickard, Ealing's Anti-Social Behaviour Team, said: "We continue to work closely with our colleagues at Ealing Council in seeking these orders for people who cause misery to law-abiding members of our society. We will strive to make the streets of Ealing as safe as possible so people are not fearful in their own environs."

If Shakeel is witnessed breaching any condition, people are asked to contact police in Ealing on 101. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
