Residents will be able to question a panel of experts about why a project to create an arts centre in Ealing Town Hall has apparently stalled.

The scheme is not dependent on local authority money and Ealing Arts Centre (EAC) supporters say that despite them presenting a business plan in September, an in-depth discussion with the Council about the proposals has not yet taken place.

A public meeting will be held in the Victoria Hall, Ealing Town Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday 25 January and local people will be able to put questions to both Council representatives and Directors of EAC.

There will be a short presentation of the EAC business plan followed by questions from the public to a panel consisting of :
Cllr Manro - Chair of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee
Brendon Walsh - Regeneration Officer handling the discussions with us
John Hummerston and Ann Pavett, Directors of Ealing Arts Centre Ltd.

Bettany Hughes, broadcaster and historian, will introduce proceedings and the meeting will be chaired by Adrian Cave OBE.

Plans to open a Film Club in March are going ahead as a fore-runner to the Ealing Arts Centre. More details will be announced by EAC at the meeting.

Ealing Arts Centre is running a petition to support the Arts Centre proposal.
