The owners of a new coffee bar opening in the town centre soon say they on a mission to bring Ealing the 'perfect flat white'.

Edwin and Magda Harrison had spent a year living and working in Uganda and when they arrived back in the UK in 2011 they decided to shun the usual 9-5. Edwin was brought up here, and Magda – coming from Australia - says coffee is more of an obsession than a drink.

They pair had a business plan which they say was quite simple - to provide great coffee.

The set up Artisan an independent and have two branches in Putney and Stamford Brook. Ealing will be their third.

Magda says:

''Ealing has such a great buzz about it and some really great independents like Electric Coffee and other fantastic retailers we thought it was the perfect place to set up shop. We have really loved the local support we've received and our aim is to bring the perfect flat white to the Ealing locals, who are becoming ever more savvy about the quality of their coffee.''

They source their freshly roasted beans from Allpress Espresso, a specialist London based Kiwi roaster and offer a signature blend of Brazil, Sumatran, Colombian and Guatemalan origins roasted in the classic Milanese style.

There are already a number of coffee shops in Ealing so can the town accommodate another?

The couple believe the answer is positive:

''Being an Aussie style coffee shop, similar to the coffee culture in Oz - we love other independents and look forward to working alongside the great coffee shops already in Ealing such as Electric Coffee. Artisan’s aim is to show Ealing that there’s more to making coffee than simply pressing a button. We hope customers will come into Artisan and appreciate the amazing coffee we set out to produce, as coffee is all we care about.''

Artisan (Next to Bill's on New Broadway) is expected to open on August 15th
