Gragnano through the eyes of artists and photographers

On Friday 23rd September the Anglo Italian Circle of Ealing entertained its members and guests with a very interesting and unique presentation of one of Italy's lesser known Tuscan beauty spots: Gragnano, in the municipality of Capannori .

Rosa Fruzza, Clare Wellsby, Hermione Sachs and Raj Sehml showcased paintings, sketches , photographs and etchings which had been produced in the beautiful Tuscan landscape, during a "Come Paint with us!"  session in July this year.

Also present was Ben Bird who spoke of Ro-Ben Productions: an educational project, which takes place every year, in Gragnano.

Ben, who is Head of French at a local secondary school , described how puppets and film can motivate children to improve their foreign language skills. He also shared his impressions of the Italian way of life with a presentation which perfectly captured the warmth and humour of the project.

The evening was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all!
