Pedestrian hit by lorry in West Ealing

A woman in her 60s has been injured after being knocked down on the Uxbridge Road in West Ealing.

It happened just after 12 o clock today. Witnesses say she was hit by a lorry which had been passing a bus at the time near Wilkinsons.

The woman was trapped underneath the lorry and London Fire Brigade were called to the scene to help get her out they were stood down at 1.15.

Ambulance crews attended and say the pedestrian had head and pelvic injuries and has been taken to St Mary's hospital as a priority.

Uxbridge road was closed and traffic has been on diversion.
