London Underground (LU) is undertaking a major programme of renewal as part of Transport for London’s Investment Programme.

Tube, London Overground, London Tramlink and Docklands Light Railway improvement works will mean disruption for passengers this weekend (27/28th June).

TfL is urging all passengers to “check before you travel” allowing extra journey time where necessary.

Piccadilly line trains will be suspended between Hammersmith and Northfield/Ealing Common and between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge stations all weekend while improvement work is carried out.

There is no direct Piccadilly line service between central London and Heathrow Airport. Use the Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect services from Paddington. Underground tickets valid for zones 1-6 inclusively, will be accepted on these services.

* For Heathrow Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 use the Heathrow Express to and from Paddington

* For Heathrow Terminal 4 use Heathrow Connect to and from Paddington or Ealing Broadway

* Passengers travelling to and from the west London area use the Central line via Ealing Broadway where possible

* There are replacement buses, but these are purely for local journeys as the roads are congested at weekends.

The District line will be suspended between West Kensington and Richmond/Ealing Broadway for track replacement works. Use alternative South West Trains services between Richmond and central London, where valid tickets will be accepted.
