Thornberry House -a development of 24 homes in West Ealing has been awarded the ‘Gold’ standard in the Building For Life Awards. The awards are considered the national standard for well-designed homes and neighbourhoods.

The Catalyst Housing scheme - designed by PCKO Architects - scored a total of 16 out of 20 for the four assessment categories. It achieved full marks in the ’Environment and Community’ category for its outstanding community facilities, tenure mix and access to public transport.

This is the second time this year the properties have been recognised – Thornberry house is in the running to win ‘Best Small Development’in the National Affordable Home Ownership Awards.

The Building for Life awards are run by the Commission for Architecture and the Build Environment (CABE) and the Home Builders Federation (HBF).
