An 18 year old was cut from the wreckage of a car which had crashed and overturned at the junction of Little Ealing Lane, and Windmill Road W5 in the early hours of the morning.

Police say there were six people travelling in the stolen red Vauxhall Corsa, it was not being followed by police and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The 18 year old youth was cut from the vehicle and taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Next of kin have been informed.

A girl, believed aged in her mid-teens, was also found at the scene - she was taken to a St George's Hospital in south hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

Two males were arrested near the scene and have been taken to hospital for medical checks.

Two females were arrested at an address in west London a short while later - they have also been taken to hospital for medical checks.

Enquiries are underway to establish who was driving the vehicle.
