Almost exactly one year ago the congregation of St Nicholas moved into their newly rebuilt church at the corner of Federal Road and Wadsworth Road. This was the culmination of almost 15 years of seeking partners and planning permission for the site.

The original Church built in 1965 and the Hall built in the 1930’s plus the rectory were all demolished and with partners ASRA Housing Association the church was rebuilt beneath 10 flats, surrounded by a small community of shared ownership houses and a Rectory in a new road – Bethlehem Close!

The Rector of the church, Revd Valerie Aitken, says ‘ We are so excited to have this wonderful new building which we hope will become the centre of community life for Perivale, not only as a place for Christian worship but also as a place of welcome, learning and enjoyment for everyone.’

The church has already hosted the Ealing Churches Winter Night Shelter, caring for homeless people from Ealing during the cold winter months. St Nicholas also has a close relationship with Perivale Primary School where Valerie is a Governor and they recently held 2 choir concerts in the church which welcomed 200 friends and family of the children singing.

On 3 December 2016 local MP, Steve Pound and councillors will join the congregation at St Nicholas Market. There will be many stalls, raffles, St Nicholas (Santa Claus) himself, the Perivale Primary School Choir and delicious refreshments. The Fair will be open from 11-3pm in St Nicholas, Federal Road UB6 7AP. You and your family and friends are invited as well
