Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a body of a man in Southall.

The man was found in his flat in Sussex Road, Southall at 5.45pm.

Originally it was was treated as non suspicious but following an initial post-mortem examination police are treating it as murder.

A further post-mortem examination was carried out at Uxbridge mortuary on Wednesday but it was inconclusive and officers await further test results.

Police are awaiting formal identification before they release the name of the 32-year-old man, and have contacted his next of kin in India.

- A 38-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death. He was arrested at an address in Southall on Wednesday and is currently in custody at a west London police station.
