Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a non-fatal shooting in West Ealing.

Officers were called at around 10.30 pm on Friday 6 August, by staff at a West London hospital, after they had heard a report of a man being shot in West Ealing.

Officers attended Yeames Close, W13, where a bullet shell and a quantity of blood was discovered. The area was cordoned off and subject to a forensic search. Cordons have since been
lifted.

A 29-year old man attended a hospital with gunshot wounds to his left arm and chest. He has received treatment and been discharged from hospital, and is now making a good recovery at home.

Police understand that the victim, who had been attending a birthday party in the area, had been outside socialising with a group of friends outside an address on Yeames Close.

At approximately 9.40pm a man, in dark clothing, fired a single shot towards the group from around 25 metres away injuring the victim.

The man then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. The incident is being investigated by detectives from Trident based at West Hendon.

Anyone with information is urged to call the incident room on 020 8733 4774; or if you wish to
remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

No arrests, no weapon has been recovered and no further persons injured.
