Ealing film director and screenwriter Rob Hurtt is set to shoot his latest short film ‘When The Sun Was In The Sky’ in the area early next year.

The film, which Hurtt says has influences as diverse as Mike Leigh, Harold Pinter and David Lynch and will feature name actors, will have its premiere in Ealing.

His previous work has been described as ‘The strangest thing I’ve ever seen!’ by Ricky Gervais and Michael Palin said of one of his films, “Truly odd and quirky film making. I hope Hurtt does more like this”.

He is currently on the lookout for support from Ealing-based businesses and individuals. Also his production team are searching for an interior of a flat in which the bulk of the action takes place. Everyone who contributes can expect a screen credit, a DVD copy of the film and invites to all London screenings.

“Ealing has such a wonderful film history and it is about time that classic, innovative and edgy films are produced here once again. My films will put Ealing back on the map!” said Hurtt.

Anyone who wishes to support the film in any way can email their interest to him at rob_hurtt@hotmail.com or call on 07783 648 481.
