The former head of the St Benedicts school and a retired maths teacher are to stand trial for child abuse.

Father David Pearce, 69, formerly of Ealing Abbey, Charlbury Grove, Ealing, and former teacher at nearby St Benedict's Catholic School in Eaton Rise, will face three counts of indecent assault against a boy.

John Maestri, 71, of Chatham, Kent, a former maths teacher, will face three charges of indecent assault against a boy.

The charges relate to the same victim but separate incidents which allegedly took place between 1976 and 1979.

Their trial begins on July 4 and is expected to last four days.
