PC Paul Madden and PCSO Piotr Dolata, the two officers who were stabbed during an attack in Ealing's centre on the 15th  December, have now both returned to work. 

The officers were injured whilst carrying out checks on bus tickets in New Broadway.

Borough Commander Andy Rowell said :

"I am delighted to welcome back to work PC Paul Madden and PCSO Piotr Dolata.  Both have returned to work on full duties after an extremely serious and life endangering attack.  Their bravery and commitment is a magnificent example to us all. 

''I would also like to take this opportunity to thank members of the public and well wishes who have shown their support for these two officers."

A man was remanded in custody on 17th December at Brent Magistrates Court charged with two counts of attempted murder against a PC and PCSO; and one count of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm against a second PCSO.

He will appear at the Old Bailey on 25 March.
