A long running battle to get a parking zone extended has finally been resolved.

The extension to the Ealing Dean CPZ (Zone JJ) came into force on Monday 14th June after a campaign by residents which lasted almost two years.

Locals of the “five roads” said the area was suffering from many traffic problems and wanted immediate action.

They formed a campaign group 'CPZ Action Now' and voted four to one for inclusion in the enlarged CPZ.

The extension includes Carew Road; Elers Road between Culmington and Carew; Lancaster Gardens; Lavington Road from Rathgar down; Loveday Road from Rathgar down; Lyncroft Gardens; and Walpole Close.

Roads in the “outer area”, including Dudley Gardens and Kingsdown Avenue, rejected the opportunity to be part of the wider CPZ.

Do CPZ's help? Have you noticed an improvement since your road became part of a CPZ? Discuss on the forum
