Five people had to flee a house on Eaton Rise, Ealing in the early hours of Wednesday morning (22 August) after a fire broke out in a detached house.

Six fire engines and around forty firefighters were called to a fire which hit the three floors of the property.

The occupants of the house heard a noise in the loft and discovered the fire at which point they got out and called 999. The roof was destroyed by fire. There were no reports of any injury.

The Brigade was called at 4.22am and the fire was under control at 6.53am. Fire crews from Ealing, Acton, Park Royal, Southall, and Northolt fire stations attended the scene.

Buses on Eaton Rise were subject to diversion for much of the rest of the day.
