Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a vehicle fire in Greenford Park Cemetery car park on Wednesday, 22 April.

At around 2.20pm a silver BMW car drove into the car park off Windmill Lane. Shortly after parking a fire started inside the vehicle which contained an eighty year old man. London Fire Brigade was called and extinguished the blaze but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers believe they know the identity of the deceased and next of kin have been informed.

While the death is not believed to be suspicious, officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating the circumstances. These enquiries are ongoing.
