Firecrews Rescue Woman From Blazing Flat

Investigation into how the fire started

A woman has been taken to hospital after a fire at a three- storey block of flats in Eaton Rise, Ealing, last night.

Firefighters from Ealing and Park Royal tackled the blaze at around 7.50pm. It took about half an hour to bring under control. The flat was badly damaged.

Crews wore breathing apparatus and managed to rescue the woman via an internal staircase she was then taken to hospital.

A man and a woman left the block before the Brigade arrived, uninjured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
