In response to the recent dog attacks in Walpole Park,Walpole Safer Neighbourhood Team will holding a Dog Information Day.

The event will be held in the Park between the hours of 10am and 2pm and a marquee will be situated next to Spencers Café in Walpole Park.

Along with the team attending the Dog Information Day will be the Police specialist dog unit, Ealing Council and three local pet related businesses.

They will be all on hand to offer advice regarding dog control, safety of park users, and the current byelaws. The team will be also asking the publics opinion on potential new byelaws to be introduced to the park. The team will also be offering advice to the public around how to report an attack by a dog and what to do should they spot an illegal breed of dog.

Sergeant Pinder Chana of the Walpole Safer Neighbourhood team said

“The dog information day has been set up to offer reassurance to the public after the unusual high number of dog attacks in the park this year.  The Walpole team will investigate dog attacks robustly.  We are here for the public to offer up to date advice on the byelaws surrounding dogs, how to report a dog attack and deliver our expectations of dog owners who use the park and the surrounding areas.”
