Two local teenagers have been charged with attempted murder and dangerous driving after a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Uxbridge.

18-year-old Essa Alanizi of Greenford Avenue, W7 and Hadi Khamis, also aged 18 of Whitton Avenue West, Greenford, remain in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court on 15 November 2022.

The police say they were called at 12.37am on Sunday, 16 October to Sargeant Close in Uxbridge after a pedestrian had been knocked down by a car.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was found at the scene with a head injury, he was taken hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Alanizi was arrested by officers on 16 October at an address in Greenford and charged with attempted murder on 18 October. That same day Khamis attended a local police station and was arrested and then charged on 19 October.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting 222/16OCT.
