22-year-old man from Northolt has been jailed for nine years after he entered his neighbours’ garden wearing a balaclava and shot people with an airgun.

Fionan Razik of Union Road was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday 4 April 2022 after being found guilty of GBH and firearms offences.

The court heard that in the early hours of Saturday 22 August 2020, he crossed into a property near his home wearing a balaclava, armed with a loaded BB Gun and a baton. He started to shoot at the people in the garden causing serious life changing injuries including a person being blinded in one eye. One of the occupants tackled Mr Razik before he fled.

Mr Razik was swiftly arrested and a search of his home resulted in the BB gun, balaclava and a baton being seized by police.

He pleaded guilty on his first day of trial at Isleworth, and on 21 June 2021 was convicted of 2 counts of GBH with intent, 1 count of unlawful wounding and 1 count of attempted GBH. The firearms offences were accepted as aggravating factors.

DS Imane from North West BCU said, “This was a shocking and an unprovoked attack that left the victims with life changing injuries. This sort of violence cannot be allowed and we will do all we can to bring those responsible to justice.

“Police are working hard to fight violent crimes in London to ensure that local communities can live, work and raise their families in a safe environment. My team and I were committed to bringing Razik to justice.

“I want to praise our response team colleagues who rushed to the scene despite the high risk posed to them and for their quick thinking which led to apprehension of Razik.

“The sentence imposed by the judge reflects the seriousness of this incident. Razik will have a lot of time to reflect from his prison cells.”
