As part of the ongoing investigation into the death of woman whose body was found in Southall Park, police have issued a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be a key witness.

The police acknowledge the quality of the image is not particularly good, but it is being released in the hope that the man might see it and recognise himself. Detectives are stressing the man is not a suspect but was in the area at the time and may have witnessed something that will help with the investigation. The image was captured in High Street, Southall at around 10.45pm on 16 July.

The cause of death of a woman whose body was found in Southall Park in Green Drive on Saturday (17 July) is still unclear despite a post mortem having been carried out but toxicology tests are awaited.

The emergency services were called at 6am after the woman, who is in her thirties, was found unresponsive near a children’s playground and later pronounced dead at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who may have been inside or in the vicinity of the park between 10.30pm on Friday 16, July and 1.30am on Saturday, 17 July to come forward but in particular the man in the photo.
