Following the stabbing of a youth during a robbery in Walpole Park earlier this month there have been a number of other incidents reported in the area.

On Saturday, April 17, between 1.25pm and 2.00pm, a 26-year-old woman was walking down the steps off Greenford Road onto Paradise Fields, Greenford, and was approached by three white males on bikes.

One of these males, wearing all grey clothing plus a hoodie, slapped the woman across the face, causing her to drop her phone.

One of the group then picked up the phone, but the victim has pushed him away, and retrieved her phone. The males have then cycled off in an unknown direction.

A second incident took place on Sunday April 18, at around 4pm, in Lammas Park near the Tennis Court.

According to the father of one of the victims, a group of male teenagers approached his daughter and her friends who were sitting on a bench and asked to see their phones.

When they refused, a male friend of the girl was isolated by a member of the other group and threatened with what appeared to be a Swiss Army knife.

Meanwhile, his daughter felt intimidated as she was touched by another member of the gang. She managed to run away and returned home tearful and shaken.

Although there are similarities between both incidents; however, there is no evidence, so far, that they are connected.

If you have any information about either one of these two incidents, call the police on 101 or contact them online.

Also share any information with the local SNT via greenfordgreen.snt@met.police.uk and walpole.snt@met.police.uk

It is also suggested by the police that you ask your children to be vigilant and to hide their phones, at all times, when they are outside in public places. As always do not hesitate to contact 999, immediately, if you spot any suspicious activities.
