A 48-year-old man from Ealing has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a woman on Monday (22 February).

Curtis Brown of Castlebar Road is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 24 February.

Although the victim has yet to be formally identified, detectives are confident that she is Anna Ousyannikov.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The police were called to a basement flat on Castlebar Road near Haven Green at around 3.47pm on Monday following reports that a woman had been found unresponsive.

Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
