Epic High Speed Pursuit Ends in Ealing
At least one car hit during chase that started in Thames Valley

The police were involved in a high speed pursuit this Tuesday evening (7 January) which came to its conclusion in Ealing.
Originally the driver failed to stop for police in Thames Valley and the chase was taken up by the Metropolitan Police when he drove into London.
Shortly after 6pm the car was being followed down Acton Lane in Chiswick when it struck another vehicle just outside the Swan pub. The driver of the other car was uninjured but had to wait for four hours for police to come and take a statement.
The police continued the pursuit to Ealing where ‘tactical contact’ was made with the vehicle on Hanger Lane at 6.49pm. The driver fled the car and ran towards Northolt with officers in pursuit on foot. Eventually he was caught and detained with a taser being discharged during the arrest.
He is currently in police custody.
