A 19-year-old has denied murdering a man who was found dead outside West Ealing station.

Ismail Yusuf, of no fixed address, has denied one count of murder and another of possessing a knife at a hearing at the Old Bailey.

26-year-old Mehran Heydari was in his car which had been involved in a collision just outside the train station at around 1.18am on Sunday, 24 November.

Despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at the scene from stab wounds he had received earlier.

Detectives said Mehran was injured in an altercation at The Avenue, just 100 metres from the railway station where the Mini he was driving crashed.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be a single stab wound to the heart.
