A 29-year-old man from Greenford has been charged with the rape of a woman in Greenford on Sunday, 3 November.

Grzegorz Wiszniewski of Costons Avenue was arrested on the day of the offence and the following day was charged with rape and wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

He was remanded to appear at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 5 November.

The police were called after the injured victim was found on Costons Avenue at 7.00am this Sunday morning (3 November).

The woman, who is in her twenties, reported to officers that she had been raped by two men. She received treatment at the scene and then was taken to hospital where she is being supported by specialist officers.

Detectives are continuing to work to establish the sequence of events that led to the attack.
