The police have launched a murder investigation after a body of a woman was found in a mansion flat in Ealing.

The victim is 58-year-old Serafima Meshaka, a company director, who was found dead on 18 September in her home in Haven Green Court which on the north side of Haven Green.

The police were called to the flat at 1.17pm after concerns were raised about the well being of the occupant. Officers entered the premises and found the body, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A special post-mortem examination was held on Monday, 23 September; the cause of death was found to be head injuries.

The woman’s next of kin have been informed.

The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Helen Rance, Specialist Crime.

DCI Rance said: “At this stage we don’t know what happened to Serafima, who was sadly found dead in her own home. We would appeal for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious around the address on the evening of Tuesday, 17 September through to the Wednesday lunchtime when she was found to please come forward.

”At this stage we are keeping an open mind about what happened and any possible motive for this attack.”
