A 21-year-old man has been charged with murdering a man in Southall earlier this week.

Samater Hirad, of no fixed abode, was charged with murder and possession of a pointed or bladed article. He will appear in custody at Ealing Magistrates’ Court later on 26 September.

He is accused of killing 22-year-old Sufi Osman of Slough, Berkshire in the early hours of Monday, 23 September.

The victim was found with stab injuries outside a shop in The Broadway, Southall, near the junction with Saxon Road at around 4am.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5.26am. His family have been informed.

A post-mortem examination revealed cause of death as a stab wound.

Detectives from Specialist Crime South (Homicide) launched an investigation and two men were arrested on the evening of Tuesday, 24 September. Samater Hirad was subsequently charged and a 22-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.
