Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Southall on Tuesday, 28 March have named the victim.

Formal identification has taken place and he has been identified as 27-year-old Augustus Fenton from Southall.

Police were called that day at about 15:30hrs to reports of a man injured in Featherstone Road, near the junction with Hartington Road.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance all attended the scene and the victim, was taken to an east London hospital.

He later died at around 03:45hrs on Wednesday, 29 March. His next of kin have been informed.

A post mortem examination on Thursday, 30 March gave cause of death as stab wounds.

A second male, 31, received minor stab injuries during the incident. He was taken to a central London hospital and has since been discharged.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
