An man police wished to speak to in connection with an attempted murder has been arrested on Churchfield Road, Acton.

Police detained 24-year-old Brenton Reyes of Cumberland Park NW10 this morning (18 August) and he has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

He has appeared at Hendon Magistrates' Court where he was remanded in custody to appear at Harrow Crown Court on Monday, 7 September.

Detectives in Brent had been appealing for help in tracing him in connection with an attempted murder outside a block of flats in Comstock Court, Atlip Road, Wembley in the earlier hours of Sunday, 16 August.

A 62-year-old man was stabbed in the hand and neck several times. His injuries are not life threatening and he remains in a stable condition.
