A 51 year old man from West London has suffered burns to his neck and face after having chemicals thrown at him.

The incident happened on Windsor Road In W5 on Thursday 20th August as the man was sitting in his car with a woman.

Police, Ambulance and Fire Brigade officers were called and due to the harmful nature of the substance used, the scene was sealed off for forensic examination.

The man was taken to Ealing hospital and moved to the Burns Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His injuries are being treated as severe.

A woman has been arrested and charged with GBH and has been remanded in custody pending further enquiries.
