The Parks Team are planning to host a special event at the Bunny Park so residents can find out more about how it will be improved.

Ealing Council won £400,000 after thousands of people voted for the Hanwell site as part of the Mayor of London’s Priority Parks scheme. It is one of ten open spaces across the capital to be awarded the grant.

Residents have been sending in suggestions as to how the Park can be improved.

Councillor Phil Taylor, Cabinet Member for Customer and Community Services, said: “ This is an exciting project and we are looking to make the improvements as soon as possible.”

Proposals for how the grant will be used include:

  • improving the animal centre at Brent Lodge Park
  • improving walking routes
  • undertaking new planting
  • installing a fitness trail
  • installing more bins
  • developing new signage

The council has been working with the GLA to finalise the project.

The Parks Team will discuss various options at an event in Brent Lodge Park, Church Road, Hanwell, on Sunday 5 July from 11am-1pm.
