16-year-old was struck by his vehicle on Mandeville Road June 29, 2023 A 63-year-old bus driver has been warned by a judge that he could face a jail sentence after he was found responsible for the death of a teenager in Northolt. 16-year-old Mario Radulescu was struck by a bus being driven by Paul Manu on Friday 17 December 2021 on Mandeville Road outside Northolt underground station. Mario was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 7.45pm and a second person involved in the collision was taken to hospital. At a hearing at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (28 June), Manu of Lea Crescent in Ruislip pleaded guilty to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving. Investigations had shown that he was driving above the speed limit and had run a red light around the time of the collision. Sentencing is due to take place on 3 August but despite granting Manu unconditional bail, Judge Alexia Durran warned that a custodial sentence was possible.
