Man in his thirties died after collision on A40 Western Avenue

A moped rider believed to be in his early thirties has died after being involved in a collision in Acton this Tuesday evening (21 January).

He was hit by a lorry shortly before 6.20pm on the westbound carriageway of the A40 Western Avenue near the junction with Horn Lane otherwise known as Gypsy Corner.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.

The lorry driver stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
