A cyclist in his forties has died after he was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A40 in Northolt this Friday morning (3 December).

The incident occurred shortly before 6.20am. Despite the efforts of paramedics the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver did not leave the scene and was not arrested.

Anyone with information, or who may have captured the collision on dashcam footage, is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference 1171/03JAN.

Each year more than 4,000 people are killed or seriously injured on London’s streets, which is why the Met Police and Transport for London are committed to the Vision Zero approach to eliminate death and serious injury.

Originally we reported in error that the victim was on a motorcycle.
