Man in His Twenties Dies at West Ealing Station

Death of victim hit by train not being treated as suspicious

West Ealing station was closed this Sunday afternoon (18 August) after a person died after bing hit by a train.

Numerous emergency vehicles attended the scene including a private ambulance.

British Tranport Police (BTP) say they were called at 2.24pm following a report of a casualty on the tracks.

A spokesperson for BTP said, "Paramedics also attended however sadly a man, aged in his twenties, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. His next of kin have been informed and officers are in the process of preparing a report for the coroner."

The incident resulted in the closure of the line between Heathrow and Paddington for part of the day. Services later resumed but trains did not stop at Acton Mainline, Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell or Southall for a period.
