The Uxbridge Road was closed in the section close to Ealing Common station after a collision involving a cyclist and a car this Thursday morning (25 April).

A male cyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment for head injuries.

The road was shut during the morning rush hour and bus routes 207, 427 and 607 were subject to diversion. The road has now reopened and the services have returned to their normal routes.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We were called at 8:06am today, 25 April, to Uxbridge Road, Ealing to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist.

"We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a car to the scene.

"We treated a man for head injuries and took him to hospital."

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said, "Officers attended and a man was found suffering a head injury which has been deemed non-life-threatening or life-changing.

"A number of roads have been closed; no arrests have been made."
