Two people have been taken to hospital after a road traffic collision near Ealing Common on Sunday evening (30 September).

The incident occurred shortly before 6pm on the Uxbridge Road as it approaches the junction with Hanger Lane travelling westbound.

Eye-witnesses report that the window on the driver’s side of the 427 bus had been smashed and a bicycle was seen lying in front of the bus.

The Metropolitan Police have said that the two injured were riding on the same bike. Neither of them have injuries that are life-threatening.

The incident cause severe traffic disruption during the evening as the Uxbridge Road (A4020) needed to be closed east of the North Circular. There were substantial delays southbound on Hanger Lane.

Bus routes 207, 427 and 607 were all diverted.

The road is now fully reopened.
