Ealing Broadway Closed After Accident

Pedestrian stuck by lorry near pelican crossing

A pensioner has been taken to hospital after being struck by a lorry on a pedestrian crossing on Ealing Broadway. The 70 year old man's injuries are not life-threatening.

The collision happened near Marks and Spencer at around 12.33pm and led to the closure of the High Street between the Broadway and Mattock Lane this Monday (23rd June).

Traffic congestion developed in the area after the incident but the road reopened later in the afternoon.

Police made no arrests following the incident.
